Adult Beginner Acting Classes

Cambridge Community Players is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Acting

Instructor/Facilitator to lead our upcoming Adult Beginner Acting Program.

  • Cambridge Community Players has been entertaining the community for over 90 years as a volunteer-driven, non-profit theatre organization dedicated to creativity, inclusion, and the joy of live performance.

  • Our classes will be designed for adults with little to no acting experience who are looking to:

    • Build confidence

    • Explore creativity

    • Learn foundational acting skills in a fun, supportive environment

    • 8-week program (weekly classes)

    • OR 2-week intensive (condensed

    • Lead engaging weekly classes (2–2.5 hours per session)

    • Teach core acting fundamentals (voice, movement, improv, scene work)

    • Create a welcoming, inclusive space for all participants

    • Support students’ growth and confidence

    • Optionally guide a final informal showcase

    • Experienced in acting and/or theatre performance

    • Comfortable teaching or facilitating groups (adult education an asset)

    • Energetic, patient, and encouraging

    • Passionate about community arts and working with beginners
